  25. I recently modified by CD-ROM audio cable by replacing the connector
  26. with one that will fit the GUS.  Since I have a few extra connectors,
  27. does anyone need their CD-ROM cable modified?  If so, please send your
  28. old cable along with a check for $3US (mainly to cover the cost of
  29. postage & the connector) and your email address to me and I'll modify
  30. it for you.  I hope this saves some money for some you guys. :)

  64. GUSAIL3214  - I tried renaming the A32... files to be called A16...
  65.               This made things worse - U8 exited with a gnarly error

  67. I don't want to play this without any sound, of course.  I have
  68. confidence that someone somewhere will figure something out, just
  69. like with U7 and U7.5.

  89. Noooooo, don't start Chicago talk here. Of course will Gravis have windows 
  90. drivers. But you can be 100% sure that they won't come *before* the 
  91. release of the final version (probably some time afterthat too).

  107. Well, since I haven't been able to get my subscription to this newgrp going,
  108. I miss some of the daily posts.  I've migrated my system from MSDOS 5.0
  109. to Novell 7.  Guess what, Megaem doesn't work!  Is says it doesn't understand
  110. or recognize the EMS driver.  I use version 2.03 from the gus0041.zip file.

  112. What can I do to get megaem working?  Please try to mail me direct since I
  113. can't depend on getting the daily post.  You may have to route it thru BRL
  114. with the following:

  144. I just bought SSI's Ravenloft: Strahd's Possession.  Though it is supposed to
  145. support the GUS using the 32-bit drivers, it did not install them itself.  I
  146. did this manually, but the sound is erratic.  If the music doesn't play all of
  147. the patches in memory and crash, the digital sounds don't play.  Anybody else 
  148. tried this game?  IF so, did you get it to work?  How?
